The Office of the Public Defender and Citizens’ Rights Commission PDCRC was established on 3rd June, 2019. It is a parastatal under the Ministry of Justice responsible for the provision of legal aid and other related services to the residents of the state and also deals with issues relating to the Protection of Human Rights guaranteed under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended). The Commission is headed by the Director General.
